Baby Shower for Brian and Tiffany

So in order to take a break from the other drama in life I am putting up pictures from my sister in laws baby shower Maggie and I threw her. It turned out way cute and lots of fun despite the yucky weather.

This is the cake I made for her. It was yummy chocolate with fresh strawberry filling and a strawberries 'n cream italian meringue buttercream. I thought it was scrumptious.

Okay so I am not much for decorations. I just am not that creative when it comes to that. But I bought some balloons and decorated with the primary colors by buying plates and napkins. Kinda pathetic but I think it turned out all right. Maggie helped by making adorable party favores in little boxes and helping with the food. Thanks!! You were a huge help.We ate yummmy tomato soup salad and rolls.

Jack was so excited to see all the presents she got. Everyone was so nice!

I didn't end up getting pictures of everyone. I thought I had but....

Benson dressed up in the sweater gloves and bear hat I made for Tiffany. He was a very patient model. And looked so handsome. He also got a cute little sweater I knitted but I didn't get a picture. Don't look to closely at it Marsha. It was my first sweater ever and I just learned to knit a couple months ago :)

Christmas Past

I was looking at all our Christmas decorations as we were putting them up and I started feeling like a real slaker. I have these decorative frames that go on the tree that you put pictures in. I have had them for at least 4 years and still no pictures!! So I finally went through all our old Christmas pictures to pick some to put in the frames and boy was it a trip down memory lane. My kids are just the cutest!!!

My brothers wedding...and the cake of course!

The wedding Cake!!!! This is of course the best part. The cake went through alot but it arrived in Panguich (by Cedar City in So. Utah) after a 5 hour drive in the middle of a hot day and only cracked a little bit. I was proud and very happy it made it.

The cake was white sour cream almond cake with a fresh strawberry filling and strawberry buttercream. Then it was covered in chocolate fondant. It was very yummy. Brian picked it for Tiffany as a surprise.

Gumpaste lillies that I made out of a special frosting that dries very hard. I loved how they turned out.

My kids both love holding their new little cousin. And they do such a good job

 And of course Jackie loves it to.

The cute flower girls and the grumpy boy. He was so hot and tired but we made him stay in his wool suit coat till the end of pictures. Talk about torture. Abby was a proud helper who got to hold baby Jacqueline.

Mark of course got the best job for a lot of the evening. Isn't she precious?
